Starting salary for Level 3 qualified is £24,973 FTE per annum | Starting salary for Level 2 qualified is £23,161 FTE per annum
We are seeking to recruit various Nursery Nurse positions to work either as a roving member of the Nursery team, covering in all base rooms, or a base room staff member. Our Nursery Nurses assist with the care and development of children ranging from 6 weeks-5 years and will be expected to take on some key working responsibilities when in a base room or covering other members of staff if roving. A Level 2 Early Years qualification is essential and a Level 3 Early Years qualification is highly desirable for this post.
Multiple working patterns are available. These include:
- Part Time - Mornings (27.5 hours)
- Part Time - Afternoons (28.25 hours)
- Part Time in Term Time (30.75 hours) and Full Time in School Holidays (40.75 hours)
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and an enhanced DBS check (formerly CRB Disclosure) is required.

Babraham Nursery was opened in September 1990 and operates from a large house situated in a quiet corner of a residential area in the grounds of the Institute. It has a large enclosed garden with climbing frame, pathways and grassed areas. It accommodates up to a total of ninety children on the Early Years register aged from 6 weeks to 5 years throughout the year and operates a separate holiday club for school aged children during the holidays at the local school.
