We are supporting security and defence authorities with their mission to protect against the threats posed by drones – our SkyWall and SkyTrack technology is in use around the world. OpenWorks is looking for someone who will enjoy deploying their software knowledge to help our customers integrate our products into their systems. Our products include market-leading optical tracking systems to detect, track and intercept drones. We develop our software in-house specifically for our hardware platforms.
The role involves a significant amount of time working with our physical products and so is primarily an on-site role. OpenWorks has a culture of flexible working dependant on individual project requirements.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Being the primary technical point of contact for our customers
- Supporting our customers as they integrate our product APIs into their software
- Helping diagnose problems as they are encountered by our customers (including debugging our software)
- Deploying software updates
- Answering technical queries
Essential Attributes:
The right individual will be someone with experience of:
- Linux
- Network configuration
- Software development (ideally C++ and C#)
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a good communicator.
- Be willing to travel overseas for short trips to support our customers.
- Be able to navigate around and debug existing software applications.
- Have a breadth of experience using multiple software languages in different domains.
- Possess the creativity to identify opportunities to improve product features and performance.
Desirable Attributes:
- Knowledge of Python
- Advanced Linux experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
