The University of Worcester is seeking four recent graduates to support the promotion of the University through a focussed programme of activity with schools, colleges and prospective students. The successful candidate will help to raise the profile of the University on a regional and national stage, and promote the University both in-person and via digital media.
As a Communications Intern you will have the opportunity to learn first-hand from Communications professionals in a busy and fast paced environment. You will gain experience and skills in many areas of our work including Press, Web, Social Media, Video, Events as well as Schools and CRM (Customer Relationship Management). You will join an enthusiastic team of Interns who will play a vital role interaction with and inspiring a range of potential student audiences in an increasingly competitive market.
This rewarding role will be well suited to a motivated and ambitious graduate of the University. You’ll be adept at working with people, have great communication and presentation skills and an ability to reflect the friendly and open culture of the University. You will present and engage with prospective students in schools, colleges, at open days and taster events as well as online and through video. You’ll bring first-hand experience of higher education as a recent graduate of this University which will help you to understand the concerns and questions of future students.
This role will provide you with an ideal first step into a professional working environment and will help to build and develop your skills. The Communications and External Affairs Department is responsible for external and internal communication at the University of Worcester with the aim of driving applications and building the reputation of the Institution amongst a variety of stakeholders.
The anticipated start dates for these roles with be throughout June and July 2023.
From 1 August 2023, the salary range for this role will increase to £21,806 - £22,214, with the opportunity to progress to £23,699.
