Supervisor

This is a permanent full time position working 37.5 hour, various shift patterns 5 out of 7 days. Shifts would cover opening and closing the store.
The role of supervisor is to assist in the day to day overall running of a store and maximizing the Centra Brand and Sales, which will involve delivery of the following duties:
- Delivery of excellent customer service and maintaining high standards within the store
- Development and driving forward certain categories in store
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales
- Ensuring the store adheres to Health & Safety and Environmental Health Standards
- Completing sales and costs reports as and when required
- Ensuring orders are accurate and submitted on time
- Preparing staff rota`s
- Staff Supervision, including conducting Return to Work Interviews, Staff Investigations and ensuring full compliance to the Company`s employment policies
- Being responsible for the store in the absence of the Store Manager
Criteria:
Essential:
- Recent experience in a busy convenience or supermarket retailing at key colleague in a sales-based environment with some experience of margin
- Excellent attention to detail in store standards
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Desirable:
- Good working knowledge of all fresh food areas and an ability to support in maintaining an exceptionally high standard of operational efficiency throughout the store
- Proven experience in the areas of stock control, people skills, cost control, rota planning, HACCP implementation.
- Further education in related discipline i.e. retail or business
- Experience gained in food retail
- Management or Supervisory qualification
- Fresh food operation i.e. bakery, FTG, Deli, provisions, and coffee
