About us
The Bannisters have a family home in Oxford. We are looking for caring, and energetic people to help our 23 year old son with the care and support he needs to live an active life. He is physically able but needs help with daily living skills and activities. The right person could live with us or live locally, and it is possible for the responsibilites to be shared, part-time, or full time. A driving licence would be useful, but most important is the right aptitude.
Our work environment includes:
We are looking for a carer and support worker, who could also help our son develop his independent daily living skills. This would involve helping him with dressing, washing and food preparation and daily tasks. He also needs supervising in the community, but enjoys walking, swimming, bus rides etc and so the right person would need to accompany him and guide him in a friendly manner. A driver would be beneficial to take him on local trips. Car provided. There is also the option to live with us in our annex room with separate bathroom.
Experience of people with Autism and Learning Difficulties is preferable but not essential. The most important quality is to be an energetic, positive person prepared to make a difference to our young man's life. We would be here to support you as you learn about him.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week
Salary: £18.00 per hour
