This position is to join our innovative (PSS) programme as an employee of Eurofins. The programme places full-time analysts, technicians, scientists and technical support personnel managed by Eurofins directly at the client facility to provide long term staffing needs while maintaining the same services, expertise and cGMP compliance available at the Eurofins facility. Job Description
Eurofins is currently recruiting for full time Environmental Monitoring Scientists based at our client site in Macclesfield, UK.
The successful candidates will provide expertise within the QC Microbiology testing section.
The candidate will have great organizational skills and proven ability to rapidly respond to technical challenges, great troubleshooting skills and operate in a flexible manner, exhibiting high energy, self-motivation and collaborative communication skills.
This role operates on a continuous 2 week rotating pattern of 11hour day shifts: -
Week One: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Week Two: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Options for shifts 06:00 to 17:00 or 07:00 to 18:00 with breaks therein.
The primary purpose of this role is to support Environmental monitoring testing to assure suitability of client’s manufacturing facilities.
Job Responsibilities

Aseptically collect Environmental Monitoring (EM) and cleaning validation samples at client’s facility using sampling protocols and associated documents.

Ensure compliance with GMP policies and SOPs in a production environment

Aseptically gown and work in sterile manufacturing areas
-
Perform routine and non-routine QC testing such as Bioburden, Endotoxin, Concentration, and Conductivity
-
Maintain and Ensure sample chain of custody using a LIMS system and perform all aspects of Sample management including aliquotting, storage, receipt, and testing.

Review manufacturing schedule for dynamic environmental monitoring to ensure all samples are collected appropriately, and address problems where necessary

Review and reconcile all environmental monitoring samples at the end of the production run to ensure all samples were appropriately taken, processed, and were within required limits

Perform Laboratory and Equipment maintenance

Participate in lean lab operation and continuous improvement programs to reduce operating costs

Calculate, evaluate, review, and properly communicate data verbally and in written format

To GMP review analytical data.

To initiate and follow-up OOS results and action limits as per client procedures.

To participate in the preparation of reports.

To be constantly aware of the client’s requirements and strive to meet or exceed those requirements keeping in mind the client process end points.

To keep up to date with any technological or method revisions in their area, ensuring their training is complete and adjusting their work as required.

To have a clear understanding of the client relationship and service goals.

To ensure that all decisions are handled with client service in mind.

To ensure uniformity, reproducibility and reliability in all work practices.
Qualifications
-
Degree or above in a relevant scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry or Microbiology)

At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a pharmaceutical industry GMP laboratory.

Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills

Passionate about quality and client service.

Good communication skills both internally and externally.
