We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced people to join our Resort Information Team.
Positions are now open for application, to work in Bournemouth’s Tourist Information Centre and adventure golf attraction - Smugglers Cove for 2023.
You will be required to engage with all visitors to BCP’s beaches, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered whilst promoting the local area and other attractions. This is a challenging but rewarding role suited to candidates with an affinity for customer service. Applicants must be available to start their new role at the end of March/beginning of April.
You will need to be able to work as part of a team and independently as required using your own initiative. You will work proactively with all members of the public and the wider team, including external agencies and contractors. Enthusiasm and commitment to providing a safe, clean and inclusive seafront is essential. To support this, the position involves helping the public with all manner of enquiries as the seafront’s focal point for our visitors. Working across the adventure golf attraction, the customer-facing Tourist Information Centre and the back-of-house administration, the dynamic nature of the role means a flexible approach is crucial. This includes providing cover as necessary.
Working for Seafront Operations, you will assist in maintaining BCP’s beaches and associated infrastructure to the standards required to attain the international Blue Flag and national Seaside Awards administered by Keep Britain Tidy. In addition, you’ll be expected to support and promote the Council’s Leave Only Footprints initiative.
A disposition to promote high standards of customer care and communication skills is essential for this post. You will be an integral member of the Resort Information Team ensuring Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole is a great place to live, work and visit.
We will look to start successful applicants immediately, working shifts covering 5 days in 7, including some Bank Holidays and weekends on a full-time, 37 hours per week basis. No part-time positions are available for this role.
