The Job Purpose
If you live and breathe marketing, in particular sponsorships, partnerships and events, we want to talk to you. We are looking for a high quality and experienced person to take a varied maternity cover role to help drive this area of the marketing team at our new Reading offices in Green Park. Working alongside quality suppliers and partners, the role encompasses a wide variety of areas including management of our key partner Reading FC, external event management, management of the corporate (fleet) area as well as a charity and content focus. You will be responsible for helping coordinate various existing business partnerships and events and it will be your drive and excellent multitasking skills that achieve outstanding results.
Job Duties
Reading FC – Sponsorship Management
- Manage Reading FC contract rights and sponsor benefits
- Ensure rights are fulfilled each season to maximum benefit to the business
- Recognise opportunity for activations within contract
o Be that events, social campaigns or advertising opportunities
- Co-ordinate stadium branding projects from ideation to installation
- Efficiently work to budget and timescales with all related projects
- Lead weekly meetings with Head of Commercial for RFC and SCL providing agenda and meeting notes
- Report periodically back to Head of Marketing and wider business
Select – External Events
- Explore, propose, plan and execute company events with the wider business
- Plan, manage and execute activations/events with business partners
- Create and efficiently work to budget and timescales with all related projects
- Co- ordinate with other marketing areas and third-party suppliers
- Grow and review supplier network
- Occasionally work overtime/weekends to fulfil the above activations/events
Select Corporate Area (Fleet Area)
- Manage relationship between Marketing and Fleet Solutions team within SCL
- Lead weekly meeting with team members maintaining agenda and meeting notes
- Oversee and edit written work related to the fleet department for website, digital assets or award entries
- Maintain and update the website pages in the fleet area on request
- Report periodically back to Head of Marketing and to the wider business
Charity
- Manage and maintain relationship with key charity partners
- Identify engagement opportunities with charity partners across marketing e.g. social media
- Engage charities in internal company social activities where appropriate
- Help to manage general marketing team admin when required
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years’ proven experience in similar role(s)
- In-depth B2C or B2B automotive experience preferred
- Very high attention to detail
- Self-motivated. You’re as happy working on your own as you are collaborating with others
- You take initiative and go the extra mile
- You’re good at prioritising and organising workflow and juggling multiple tasks
- Enjoy both big picture strategic thinking and the nitty gritty details of execution
- Excellent written skills
- Clear communication skills, self-motivated and strong leadership skills
- Team-oriented and goal-oriented
Essential Software Experience
- Significant prior experience of CMS / CRM systems
- Hubspot or other relevant marketing software
- Mailchimp or equivalent email marketing software
- Google Analytics, GTM, Google Ads
- Facebook Ad Suite
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
