3rd Line Engineer (IT Infrastructure)

Are you a 3rd Line Engineer looking for your next challenge with a company that has made significant investment in IT to bolster continued growth?
As a 3rd Line Engineer for Lookers you will be responsible for maintaining our server estate in Azure, as well as in our data centres, alongside supporting our Windows domain and Office 365 tenancy. Working a mixture of BAU and exciting projects, you’ll need to be able to prioritise a busy workload and ensure clear and concise communications with a range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Providing 3rd line BAU support, investigating and resolving complex faults and liaising with other teams within the Infrastructure department
- Proactively monitor and evaluate server issues, take ownership and resolve.
- Liaise with vendors and support companies as appropriate.
- Participate in on call duty rota (1 in 6 weeks)
- Root Cause Analysis for complex major incidents & escalated faults
- Willingness to learn and document new services/products
- Keep up to date with technical and service developments within the industry and making recommendations where appropriate to feed into the long-term IT strategy
Qualifications:
We are looking for some that is a whizz at Azure, including IaaS and SaaS, Azure AD, and Azure AD Connect, worked with Microsoft Server 2016 and above has experience with domain management including Active Directory. DHCP, DNS, Group Policy etc.
