The opportunity:
We are delighted to open our Trainee Solicitor application process, offering the opportunity to join us on a two-year training contract.
This is a great opportunity to build on what you have already learnt in your academic studies, through practical work experience and training, to prepare you for life as a lawyer. We will support and assist in your development to ensure that you get the most from your experience and help to progress your career at rradar.
We are offering a two-year training programme, which gives you access and experience to a diverse commercial client base across all industry sectors, ranging from small owner-managed businesses to large multinational corporates. You will be exposed to complex and high-profile clients, with mentorship from our lawyers and teams in both our Leeds and Hull offices, who have significant experience and expertise across specialist practice areas.
As a rradar trainee, you will experience four seats on a six-month rotation across both our Leeds and Hull locations, experiencing a mix of contentious and non-contentious work across a broad spectrum of commercial practice areas including our Legal Advice Service, Employment, Commercial Disputes, Business Crime & Regulatory, Intellectual Property and Cyber Data and Information Law.
Required skills:
You will be hardworking and committed, with flexibility, motivation and a drive to learn. You will demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to use your initiative, working well as part of a team and with a strong track record of managing and prioritising your own workload.
You will also have:
successfully passed your LPC or SQE1-
received a minimum of a 2:1 degree in law or a 2.1 degree in a different subject followed by the PGDL
Work experience in a legal-based role would be desirable but is not essential.
