Salary: Up to £500-£525 a day depending on experience
Location: Remote (Full time Mon-Fri) with one day per week to the Manchester Office
Duration: 6 month contract (Outside IR35)

Summary of the role and main accountabilities
We are searching for a PMO Planner extraordinaire with a wealth of experience in creating project and programme plans using MSP for a variety of services across different sectors. Sound like you?
If you are successful, you will work for a one of our clients initially and will be responsible for developing, tracking, maintaining, monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery of both top-level and lower-level schedules. You will work closely with workstream owners and Project Managers to make sure that the Microsoft Project plan is in excellent shape and expertly implemented. You’ll also have the opportunity to provide expert planning advice to stakeholders and project teams on the planning process throughout the project lifecycle. This is a hands on roll and we are looking for planners that only work in perfection. If you think you have what it takes, we'd love to hear from you.
- A planning pro: You're an expert in project planning and can create and manage comprehensive project plans with ease. In particular you LOVE the MSP tool!

Deliverables
- Work collaboratively with Project Managers, workstream owners, and stakeholders to develop project plans
- Own, track, and manage programme plans to ensure on-time delivery
- Identify and track key interdependencies with workstream plans
- Produce a weekly Level 0 & Level 1 Programme POAP report for Programme board meetings
- Ensure that change request procedures are followed, submitted, and signed off by the programme director before any baseline date is changed in the plan
- Where there are no procedures in place (such as change control) put these standards and processes in place to ensure excellency
- Report any plan slippage and highlight areas of risk and opportunity with escalation where needed
- Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies and standards, including the use of project management tools and templates
- Join project checkpoint calls with the heads and Programme Director and act as a ‘critical friend’ by challenging any planning related slippages against the plan to agree solutions to get projects back on track
- Track outputs of various governance boards to capture any approved changes to plans and key milestones and ensure plans align with the PMO reporting function so that a single version of the truth remains constant throughout the Programme.
