Are you interested in identifying, recording and promoting Cornwall’s historic landscape and making this available to as wide and diverse a range of audiences as possible? Are you proficient in the use of Information Technology and have a good working knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS)? We are looking for an experienced heritage professional to join our Historic Environment Record team to support the delivery of the National Record of the Historic Environment (NRHE) to Historic Environment Records data transfer project.
The NRHE collection and the Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly HER contain complementary but separate information. The project aims to merge the NRHE into the HER, creating a unified digital resource.
In addition, working with the HER team you will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the Historic Environment Record, updating our database and spatial data records. You will undertake analysis of information from a wide variety of sources including publications, reports, plans, maps, Lidar and aerial photographs and enhance or create new entries.
