Operations Director
We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join one of Manchester’s leading events agency.
The ideal person will have around 5 years events agency experience, be responsible for managing the operations department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and exceptional client experiences.
The Operations Director will work closely with the creative and sales teams to ensure smooth execution of events, while also managing vendors and suppliers to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations department and ensure seamless execution of events.
- Work closely with the creative and sales teams to develop proposals and strategies for events.
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery of services and products.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and quality of service.
- Manage event budgets and provide regular financial reporting to senior management.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest standard and meet client expectations.
- Manage and motivate a team of operations professionals.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in event operations, preferably in a corporate events agency setting.
- Proven experience managing teams and working collaboratively with other departments.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets and timelines.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clients, vendors, and team members at all levels.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
- Passion for event planning and execution.
