Job Description
A well established and highly regarded small UK joinery company are currently looking for a joinery CAD draughtsman to join the team. They work predominantly in the high-end residential market.
Their experienced craftsmen create the finest bespoke joinery for clients and main contractors, providing the highest quality and service at all levels.
They are ideally looking for someone who will assist their joinery team and can do the following:
- Effectively briefing Joiners/Machinists once drawings have been approved and throughout production.
- Ability to survey, taking briefs and ideas from clients/designers and turning them into full working drawings/setting out for in house joinery production.
- Ensuring the work is completed in a timely manner and within budget.
- To maintain good communications and working relationships within the department and other departments
- Coordinating the ordering of specialist materials required for the project.
- To follow procedures in line with current and anticipated Health & Safety legislation, including risk assessments and operating procedures, and ensure your work activity conforms to current statutory regulations
- Liaising closely with the Joinery Manager to establish cost effective and efficient ways to manufacture projects within budget and to specification.
Job Type: Full Time Contract (preferred but self-employed could be possible)
Experience:
- CAD joinery draughtman, 2 years minimum experience
- Experience within the joinery industry preferred
- Must be able to provide drawings using AutoCAD
- CSCS Card (preferred)
- Previous experience in working on high end residential projects
- Good communication skills
- Be able to work well within a close team environment but equally work well alone
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
