Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is recruiting a R&D PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER for the site in Blyth to work with the New Ventures team in the development and delivery of programmes in the energy systems growth area.
The role will support development of R&D proposals and programmes, as well as new commercial partnerships across USA, EU and Asia Pacific.
What will I do?
- Lead development of new strategies, commercial opportunities and joint industry programmes for energy systems
- Develop business and services for New Ventures team
- Support development of Commercial and R&D proposals
- Build relationships and partnerships with experts and research organisations, particularly US Offshore Wind
- Support delivery of international programmes for successful project outcomes
- Lead and support delivery of proposal bids/quotes through preparation of detailed business cases
- Support product development strategies and solutions to key industry challenges
What are we looking for?
- Degree in engineering or scientific discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a relevant industry sector e.g. wind, marine, power
- Experience of R&D proposal and business development
- Research background
- Experience in UK and international research projects
- Experience preparing successful commercial R&D proposals
- Project planning and programme delivery experience
- Technical and commercial background experience, related to product development
- Experience managing intellectual property within bids/proposals/quotes
