Vacancy
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our kitchen team to bring the very best dining experience to the West End.
Please note there is a requirement to work full time hours per week over any of the seven days with regular work at evenings and weekends.
Job Description:
- Preparing and cooking food to the consistently high standards of preparation and presentation set by the Head Chef.
- Deputising for the Head Chef in the Head Chef's absence and leading the team on shifts when the Catering Manager is not present.
- Liaising with bar staff and the duty manager to communicate delivery times, items out of stock and other information necessary to present a professional service to customers.
- Assisting the Head Chef with devising and introducing menus and daily specials suitable for the operation.
- Assisting the Head Chef with stock management (including ordering, stock rotating and stock taking) so that adequate levels of stock are held and there is no wastage.
- Following all Food Hygiene, Kitchen Cleaning and other health and safety responsibilities at all times.
- Assisting the Head Chef with training and managing the kitchen team.
- Undertaking such administration as requested for the effective running of the kitchen
- Undertaking any other duties which may be reasonably requested of you by the Company for the effective functioning of the kitchen or cinema and to maximise its business.
