Experienced Luxury Travel Consultant
We are looking for a passionate, motivated & a positive individual to join our Luxury Travel Team at APT ( Australia, Pacific Touring)
As a Travel Consultant you will be expected to have a minimum of 1 years travel sales experience in a call centre to enable you to service both our Direct Clients & Travel Agent Partners with a professional and friendly manner
The role is predominantly working within an Inbound Call Centre where you will share our passion for the world of Luxury travel with our customers selling them the dream with opportunities to upsell, gain & retain loyal relationships & support the growth of our business.
Within this role a level of multitasking is expected with a high level of attention to detail to ensure we always deliver above and beyond for our customers. You will also work towards Sales & Service targets in line with our business objectives and values.
Most importantly you will be part of a fantastic team of people who continue to support, grow and succeed together.
This role is Hybrid Remote requiring a minimum of two office days per week.
Responsibilities:
- To handle inbound calls from both direct clients & travel agents in a professional manner
- To maximize every sales opportunity to excel both revenue and conversion targets
- Accountable for booking a range of holiday types across multiple destinations for both River Cruise & Land Touring
- To deliver exceptional customer service at all times to excel business service target
- Handling high end bookings & repeat clients
- To manage the Customer Service & Sales emails by responding within the expected time frame with excellent written communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task between calls, emails & other operational tasks assigned to you
- Capable in managing Pre-Departure Courtesy calls & provide updates to affected bookings
- To support the Customer Service & Communication team with crisis calls (i.e - COVID-19 affected departures)
- Confident in using multiple Microsoft programs especially excel with day to day workload, tasks and data entry
- Take day to day initiative and share knowledge with other team members
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 1 year travel industry experience
- GDS Knowledge
- Strong sales skills in a telephone sales environment
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Confident with Microsoft programmes
- Ability to work in a pressured environment
- Excellent written and oral communication competency
- High quality attention to detail
- A willingness to take responsibility and to work as a part of a close team
- Ability to adapt to the APT culture and live the APT values
- Travel & Tourism Certification ideal but not compulsory
