Regional Sales Manager - Covering Central Eastern Region
(Branches: Scunthorpe, Alford, Boston, Gainsboroug, Grimsby, Horncastle, Louth, Market Rasen, Skegness, Sleaford, Spalding, Spilsby, Lincoln, Hykeham)

Role Purpose:

To lead and motivate a sub-regional external sales team within a defined geographical area and to ensure that sales & profit targets are achieved across the wider network of responsibility.

The key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Meet and exceed agreed regional sales and profit targets.
  • Provide influential leadership to your external sales team colleagues, whilst supporting their on-going development needs.
  • Oversee a dedicated team of Area Sales Managers to help them achieve their sales, profit and new business targets.
  • Ensure sales territories are organised to maximise the effectiveness of the sales team resource and to provide optimum coverage of the allocated customer base.
  • Regular joint days spent out with Area Sales Managers / branch colleagues visiting customers to motivate, support, coach and develop the skills of both our internal/external sales colleagues
  • Support, develop and evolve our selling culture
  • Maintain and develop key supplier relationships
  • Identify any areas for development through monthly / quarterly reviews with your team members
  • Maintain administration processes in line with business requirements.
  • Effectively support and collaborate with key head office functions such as Commercial, Marketing & Credit Control.
  • Take a proactive lead in developing customer specific action plans in conjunction with relevant team members and other key stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a similar role / industry would be desirable, but the will to succeed, drive and determination to lead and be part of a winning team is essential. You'll need to be a good communicator (written & verbal) and provide real influencing skills, together with demonstrative stakeholder management experience.
