The role
IDC are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled student who can assist in delivering creative and technical output.

Designing & developing technical product solutions across a wide range of products, from concept through to production ready.

Creative and technical idea generation based on preliminary research and sound engineering principles

Supplier liaison, prototyping and testing

Concept brainstorming and detailed design from concept to production with high attention to detail

3D CAD modelling (Solidworks)
You are:

Motivated, curious and passionate about design & engineering

A creative, collaborative and flexible team-player

Able to think broadly to generate ideas and develop a justified point of view

Able to present clearly and concisely and explain design and engineering decisions

A hands-on engineer happy at a CAD station or in the prototype workshop

A go-getter with a passion for understanding how things work
This is a paid, fixed-term placement which will run for one year from Summer 2023.
