About the team and the role
Open banking (OB) which connects banks, third parties and technical providers – enabling them to exchange data simply and securely to their customers’ benefit. At Lloyds we run one of the largest Open Banking operations in the UK and have an exciting vacancy for an Open Banking Business Operations Lead.
In this role you’ll work directly with the 3rd parties, Labs and the regulator covering many aspects of the Open Banking Service. You will help on-board new consumers to our OB platform, you will manage service issues, help drive resolutions and work with the Platform teams and engineers to continually improve our OB service. We are looking for an individual who likes problem solving, is keen on technology, enjoys helping others and are thrives in a very varied working environment. From managing Fintech to helping with technology moves to cloud, this is a great opportunity to get into IT or to further your current IT career.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Provide customer solutions and detailed insights on service performance to senior stakeholders.
  • Forum participation, proactive approach to enhance Open Banking service provided to Banks and Third Parties.
  • Help API consumers to investigate, triage and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to FAQs, internal and external documentation to drive understanding of our product.
  • Work closely with teams in root cause analysis and service improvements.
  • Work closely with our engineering and product teams to triage and understand defects with the service so that we understand where to prioritise service improvements.
  • Design, Implement, enhance and maintain internal tools to aid issue identification and resolution.

About you

If you have the right technical background, a willingness to be part of a team dedicated to redefining the landscape and are willing to develop yourself then we’re keen to hear from you. Technical
  • Have a technical background with some experience with JavaScript, Node.js, oAuth, RESTful APIs.
  • Have strong analytical skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise way.
  • Have an understanding of modern web services and APIs, and love learning about technical solutions.

Behavioural
  • Have communication skills, with experience communicating with technical and non-technical colleagues when resolving issues with an API service.
  • Have the ability to engage with Customers and API consumers, who often are developers. You will be the voice of the customer in internal decision making, helping us build a customer-centric culture.
  • Have knowledge of how to prioritise demands in a fast-paced environment.
