Job Description

Are you a coding wizz, looking for their first step into the world of tech, or perhaps your next step on the path to becoming a well-rounded Developer?

Looking for a role where you can work closely with a UI/UX Design team to help create the best digital experience possible?

Do you have a firm grasp of Html5, CSS3, Javascript and Vue.js?

If so, we have an opportunity for a Junior Front End Developer to join our Digital Team here at Regatta Group!

The Impact you will have in this role is:

  • Fully responsive webpages are built using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Javascript & Vue.js (knowledge in Node.js. Is not essential but would be beneficial)

  • Websites are produced and maintained with the latest HTML standards

  • Website framework / speed is proactively improved

  • Performance of the site is reviewed using lighthouse and results are reported to other members of the team and fixed

  • Ideas on how to improve usability are suggested to the wider team

  • Marketing teams are liaised with to ensure built projects are on brand

  • Departmental procedures are followed regarding asset management

  • Brand style guidelines are worked within

  • The team environment is worked within effectively as well as independently when required

  • Knowledge of front-end development is proactively progressed

  • Deadlines are met on time

As our future Junior Front End Developer you will have:

  • 1-2+ years’ experience in a Front-End Development role

  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience using Version Control software -such as Github

  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Javascript, jQuery, Vue.js and responsive web design

  • Node.js. Not essential but would be beneficial

  • Preferably experience in an ecommerce or digital team
