personal assistant needed,
I am a 35 year old man who lives with his partner, I have Cerebral Palsy which means I have trouble with physical things, mentally i’m a normal 35 year old man. I am fully cognitively able as any other 35 year old, I am the employer and I will guide you through the day, I will tell you when, where and how i need to be assisted. I do not need a carer, I am very capable, I need you to be my hands for the most part as I can not cook and clean due to my condition. I am very talkative, love sport, love going out, socialising, shopping, i am a family man and my family is at the heart of everything i do. In this job I will need assistance with daily tasks from getting up, personal care, assistance with eating, drinking and medication. the job also includes dog waking/poo picking with our large but friendly family dog, and coming to work with me (i am a volunteer sports assistant)
other things that you will be asked to do-
work the odd weekend.
take me on outings, shopping, out to meet friends, out drinking, out to events. Housework and cleaning (a cleaning rota is in place to guide you, this is my family home, not a care home so I expect it to be treated as such)
I also play a Paralympic sport which sees me go away for weekends, you might get asked to come away and work for weekends to assist me with personal care, i also have a sports assistant who I've worked with for years who assists my on court with my Boccia. I'm currently on the England squad and hoping to make Team GB.
candidates can be male or female, need to have similar interests, sports, socialising.
needs have a open mind.
must be:
reliable
have a full driving licence,
trustworthy, hard working,
a good timekeeper,
flexible.
Staff are welcome to keep their phone close and use them occasionally but it must not be used frequently throughout the day, i need to be sure that your focus is the job in hand in the hours you are here not spent planning your social life or posting on social media.
Good hygiene, Hand washing etc.
