Location – The butterfly and the pig, 151 Bath street, Glasgow, G2 4SQ Senoir Chef de partie
Over the past 15 years the butterfly and the pig has brought a blend of quirkiness and traditional style to create on of the city's most memorable Gastropubs. Situated in the basement of a georgian townhouse the bar/restaurant serves good homely fresh food cooked to traditional recipes everyday from 12-10pm. Upstairs the townhouse hosts our tearooms and function rooms which fill the venue over busy weekends.
Central to the venues success has been the consistent high quality of the food offering which the kitchen team has delivered year after year. The restaurant serves fresh ingredients cooked to traditional recipes to create an authentic contemporary Scottish and European influenced "homely" dishes to match the venues warm traditional decor.
The role itself involves preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within each section. Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes. Preparing meat, fish and vegetables to the in-house recipes for our signature dishes. Contributions to daily specials are expected of any successful candidate as they will have the opportunity to work as part of team but also at times the freedom to contribute as aa an individual. Obviously we also expect the successful candidate to have a good knowledge of food hygiene and cook safe procedures as in all modern kitchen's these are essential contributions for all team members.
All formal training can be provided if successful candidate doesn't have recent food hygenie certificates.
Hours - Full time hours 45hrs per week and salary depending on experience
