This post is suitable for a qualified and experienced PWP with a passion for PWP work. The post will involve a mix of direct clinical work, clinical supervision and taking a key role in the leadership and operational management of the service. The postholder will alsoprovide direct line management to other PWPs in the service. The successful candidate will bring enthusiasm and commitment to the role and provide strategic oversight for developing the professional career pathway for PWPs at a local and trust level.

Back on Track is a well-established and high performing IAPT service provided by West London NHS Trust in partnership with West London Centre for Counselling and Richmond Fellowship. You will work in a very friendly, supportive and well resourced service with close links to Clinical Psychology Doctorate and IAPT training programmes. The service places a particular emphasis on supporting all clinicians and there is a dedicated programme to promote and improve the wellbeing of the team members.

Our primary therapy is CBT, but we also offer IAPT’s centralised training in secondary modalities (such as DIT, EMDR, IPT or BCT), specialist MBCT, PTSD, LTC and Supervisor training, plus our own in-house masterclasses, such as on imagery rescripting, BDD and cross-cultural therapy. There is an established and growing CPD programme for the PWP team.

We have received positive feedback from staff for our approach in supporting staff who are working parents or carers. Our service has won awards for its focus on wellbeing and we have a sociable and friendly team. As a result, we develop long-lasting and committed relationships with our staff.

During the last few years the Back on Track team has worked hard to deliver effective treatment to those with a long-term health condition. Currently 30% of all referrals have at least one long-term condition and applications are particularly welcomed from anyone who has a particular interest and/or expertise with this group and who would be interested in service development in this area.

The position is a full time role and will require the successful candidate to workat least one evening session per week (12pm – 8pm) and to occasionally provide additional evening cover as required.

We provide care and treatment for more than 800,000 people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow, delivering services in the community (at home, in GP surgeries and care homes), hospital, specialist clinics and forensic (secure) units.

We’re rated good overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Together, we’re committed to promoting hope and wellbeing, working with patients, service users, carers, families and partners across the communities we serve.

We are keen to ensure that our workforce reflects the community it serves, particularly in terms of ethnicity, gender, disability, LGBTQ+ and experience of mental illness.
