Job Description
We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant with a background in medical care and-or customer service. The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to medical practitioners by handling administrative tasks and supporting the medical care team. Additionally, we are looking for candidates who enjoy helping people and who have a keen interest in health problems, diagnosis and treatment. This position requires an individual who can work well with others and is capable of maintaining personal composure while being exposed to various stressful situations.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to the needs of the patient and other patients in the healthcare setting.
- Transfer patients safely and securely.
- Provide basic care to patients.
- Use clinical judgement based on observations by providing care and treatments to patients.
- Understand and apply infection control practices including use of personal protective equipment.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
