Key Responsibilities
HSQE Responsibilities
Implementation of the TLI Group Safety Charter and Life Saving Rules;
Zero Harm Target – Home Safe Every Day;
Ensuring the quality of the works meet the Clients Requirements;
Implementing the Stop Register when works are deemed to be unsafe;
Identification of Good Catches and Near Misses – reporting in same;
Responsible to the Supervisor for ensuring operational safety in accordance with company policy and safety vision of Everyone Home Safe Every Day;
Ensure the risks and control measures associated with the company’s activities are identified and implemented to control them to as low as reasonably possible &
Ensure accidents and incidents are reported in a timely manner.
Operational Responsibilities
Climb poles and towers in a safe professional manor;
Experienced with overhead power lines;
Stringing cable and electrical conductor;
Applying earths as required;
Accessing live overhead network as outlines on NIE MESC’s;
Operating to NIE Safety Rules as required;
Utilising MEWP when required to complete works;
Carry out maintenance, repair and refurbishment of lines as directed;
Utilise all equipment necessary for working on Overhead lines network as detailed in company SOP’s and training manual;
Responsible for Self and Colleagues compliance to HSQE;
Carry out pole top rescue as required;
Working as part of a team to complete allocated work under NIE Outages;
Undertake reasonable takes asked by Chargehand / Supervisor / Management &
Be responsible for self-development and PDP.
About the role
Due to continued expansion we are seeking applications for the position of LINESWORKER in Northern Ireland are working NIE. Performing all tasks allocated by the Planned Works Coordinator in the overall function of refurbishing or replacing overhead power lines and associated works LV and or HV.
Following the successful award of a long term (4+2+2) Overhead Lines Framework involving the Construction & Refurbishment of NIE’s Distribution Network we are pleased to announce that the TLI Group now have several excellent opportunities within our Northern Ireland delivery team.
About TLI Group
Operating in Northern Ireland since 2015 we have a longstanding working relationship with NIE Networks and over this time have increased our delivery portfolio across a number of frameworks both constructing and maintaining their critical infrastructure across distribution and transmission for their customers. Within this newly awarded long-term framework NIE Networks will be carrying out a major rebuild programme of their Network which will bring with it a requirement for our resources levels to increase accordingly in assisting with delivering their Network Investment plan over the next 8 years, a delivery programme that the TLI Group are delighted to be part of.
