Job Description
Job Title: Chef.
Main Purpose of Job: Cooking to a menu at a Local Village Pub, turning out well presented dishes.
Responsible to: Head Chefs
Hours: 40hours
Location: Based at The Royal, Silverdale, with occasional cover shifts at our other kitchens locally.
Rate: From £13p/h, overtime is paid. Mostly straight shifts. Accommodation available, wage will be adjusted to reflect if required.
Job Overview: Preparing high quality food. You should be able to cook at a high standard under pressure and be able to work as part of a productive team.
Main Tasks of Job Include:
· Preparing food for service
· Setting up the kitchen in preparation for service
· Stock rotation
· Implementation and adherence to all health and safety and food hygiene practices
· Daily cleaning tasks
· Cook food in timely manner and with good presentation
Requirements
· Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
· Hands on experience with various kitchen equipment
· Advance knowledge of culinary techniques.
· Ability to remain calm under pressure
· Work as part of the lager Kitchen and Food and Beverage team.
· Excellent time management
Qualifications:
· Level 3 in Professional Cookery is desirable but not essential rather proven experience in kitchen environment required.
