SMS is one of the UK’s leading independent Water Hygiene specialists, driving the evolution of the Water Treatment field with innovation and best practice to ensure the safety of the people in the communities we serve.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Water Treatment Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. This role plays a key function with completing all pre-planned maintenance water hygiene works for clients. This role is field-based with work primarily located in Greater London. Please note that travel will be a requirement of this role and you may be required to travel further afield depending on business need.
Role and responsibilities:
As a Water Treatment Engineer at SMS Environmental, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out a variety of water hygiene works to a high standard
- Cleaning and disinfection of showers
- Checking and cleaning water tanks and systems
- Carrying out TMV checks and maintenance
- Checking and disinfection of calorifiers
- Completing all work on in house software using an iPad
Key Skills and Experience:
We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate:
- Previous water hygiene experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to use iPad technology
There are some requirements that are needed to take up this post:
- Full UK Driving Licence – You will be provided with a company van
Applicants must be able to provide evidence of their Right to Work in the UK.
All roles at SMS require a DBS check; SMS Environmental will cover the cost of this if you do not already hold a valid DBS certificate.
