To work in a safe manner with due regard to one’s own safety and that of others. At all times abide with the companies’ health and safety policies.

Follow the required gowning procedures for all manufacturing areas.

To wear and maintain required safety equipment when necessary as provided by the company.

To set up packaging area in preparation for packaging and labelling operations in accordance with GMP, including routine checking and testing of equipment and environmental conditions.

To fill solid’s, liquids & semi – solids into final/intermediate containers either manually or by using a full range of equipment.

To inspect tablets, capsules and other pharmaceutical products for defects.

To assemble and label patient packs for open, single blind, double blind or double-dummy studies in accordance with the packaging job card.

To complete all documentation promptly and accurately to meet the requirements of documentary evidence for the manufacture of pharmaceutical products (cGMP). Including materials received, reconciliation and when required, to carry out in-process checks, AQL’s and any required integrity testing.

To print and overprint cartons, labels and other packaging materials product with batch related information.

Assist in basic set up of machines when required.

To clean all areas of packaging and associated equipment in conformance with cGMP using the approved sanitizers.

To maintain housekeeping during all packaging procedures.

To participate in all 5s, GEMBA and process improvement activities.

Complete effective line/batch clearance including the completion of required documentation.

To perform similar activities relating to new pharmaceutical products.

To cover other process operator jobs as required.

To calibrate associated equipment as per written procedures and to record results.

To assist in the training of other operators.
