Porsche Cars GB in partnership with RAC now have a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Automotive Technical Trainers. You will be based at Porsche Cars GB in Reading, to deliver automotive technical training programmes that support our corporate customers and our technicians. The role requires the successful candidate to hit the ground running’ due to the success of our business and associated increased training requirements whilst ensuring the standards for training performance are exceeded and the delivery of high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency are met.
Key Accountabilities Include
- Continually assist in reviews of course content and course descriptions to ensure they are up to date and include latest model information.
- Assisting in all technical aspects of training & development, including new model updates, product launches, recognition & retention programmes.
- Maintaining and update the relevant technical sections of the training pages within Porsche digital systems.
- Maintaining, developing and updating technical training literature, ensuring the latest CI standards are adhered too.
- Developing and utilizing knowledge on latest training and development theory, in order to ensure that this is incorporated into training programmes and delivery where appropriate. Aligning to Porsche Service Core Process Strategies and Service Quality standards.
- Overseeing the delegates attending training programmes, ensuring that health and safety guidelines are always adhered to.
- Providing competency and skill level feedback to Porsche Centres, Porsche RiR’s and other third parties where appropriate.
- Delivering technical, product knowledge, product launch training and introduction programmes as required.
- Ensuring your own technical knowledge is accurate and up to date with the Porsche product offering, passing the Porsche Trainer Qualification within agreed time frame and completing TTT courses with PAG at PCGB request.
- Ensuring internal department communication is fully utilised to ensure all course content is up to date and relevant.
With experience in the delivery of technical training programmes, that will have included recognised levels such as CIPD, C&G, A1 Units, V1 Units, you’ll have appropriate technical qualification relevant to automotive engineering and hold a recognised technical trainer qualification such as CIPD, C&G.
You’ll also need a good understanding of the latest motor industry technical developments and comprehensive knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and electronic/mechanical systems.
A self-starter, you’ll be comfortable working alone, whilst working collaboratively within an experienced team.
You’ll also be highly organised with great communication and training delivery skills.
