Job Description
Security Officers should be able to work autonomously and take responsibility of the site they are proving security for. They should ensure a high-quality output of work and ensure that processes are followed and instructions from the Supervisor are followed. Security Officers should liaise professionally with the Control Room team and Customers alike. It is essential that Security Officers ensure compliance to industry standards, company policies and procedures for their shift. All documentation and records are to be completed correctly. The role is monitoring the traffic and visitors into the business park. This involves logging all vehicles.
Daytime - Logging the vehicles and managing visitors to the Business Park
Evening - We provide the Security for the whole business park so 4 foot patrols are required . In the summer months a perimeter check will required on a daily basis. Using the site CCTV Security will tour the site with the fully function camera's. The is patrolled hitting the tagging points already fitted.
Security Officers should:
- Understand the basics of (or know where to access) standards, policies and procedures, as well as instructions for a Customer premises.
- Demonstrate good customer service skills.
- Answer the phone in the Security Gatehouse.
- Be able to work under the pressure of a busy environment.
- Understand escalation procedures and departmental functions around the business.
- Follow direction from their Supervisor or Line Manager.
- Provide reports as required.
- Ensure they display a valid SIA license and Company ID Card at all times.
- Ensure their uniform is smart presentable at all times.
- Due the size of the Business Park and routine patrols required by the client the individual needs to have some reasonable level of fitness.
- Support the client in any Security Requirements.
