Automotive Prototype Build Development Technician
ASL Technical are working closely with a global leading manufacture niche sports cars and we are seeking experienced and highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our client on a rolling contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a background in automotive mechanics, with experience gained in either an automotive dealership or motorsport environment. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for cars and a hands-on approach to take their skills to the next level and contribute to the development of cutting-edge automotive sportscars.
Responsibilities:
Support the development of automotive prototype builds from concept to production.
Assist with the assembly, installation, and testing of mechanical, electrical, and software systems for prototype vehicles.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians, to ensure successful integration of systems into the vehicle.
Maintain prototype builds and ensure they are in good working order, making repairs and modifications as needed.
Requirements:
Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 3 or HND in Automotive Engineering. Technical training or certification in automotive technologies is highly desirable.
3+ years of experience in an automotive dealership or motorsport environment, with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
Strong understanding of automotive mechanics and experience with electrical and software systems is highly desirable.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in automotive mechanics, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
