Job Role: Goods Out – Picking Operative
Hours: 1pm– Finish is between (21:00 - 01:00am)
Salary: £10.00 per hour
Role Type: On going temporary contact
gap personnel Bristol are acting as an employment business and currently looking for 7 Goods Out Picking Operatives to join our client in Avonmouth immediately! Once orders are completed by the production team, the Goods Out Operatives have the task of picking orders as per order sheet. Attention to detail is key!
Our client has year on year growth with the Food Manufacturing industry and supply big names such as NHS, Easy Jet, BA as well as many local schools. As part of the company’s growth, the warehouse is undergoing a complete refurbishment which will ensure you are working in an environment with the most update machinery and equipment, be part of an exciting growth plan and have excellent onsite facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Picking products/orders accurately whilst ensuring picking targets are achieved
- Manual pick following client specific job orders
- Quality checking orders
- Supporting despatch
- Keep accurate records
- Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse
- Work within the H&S requirements of the site
- Ad hoc duties, this may include supporting production
- Please note, this can be a physically demanding job with long periods of time spent
Please be aware this position will require you to be stood for long periods of time in a chilled environment.
About you
- Previous experience of working within a picking environment
- Demonstrate practical skills
- Good numeracy skills - Counting is a key part of this role
- Work under pressure and to deadlines
- Work as part of a team and also independently
