We’re recruiting a Volunteer Unit Manager to join our amazing Behavioural Change Support Services Unit (BCSSU).
Our BCSSU delivers evidence-based and innovative interventions and services to individuals who, due to multiple or complex needs require specialist behaviour change treatment or holistic support. Our work within the criminal justice sector is not restricted to those who have a conviction, and our interventions take place remotely, in the community and in custodial settings. This 24-month project is subject to a contract award (expected imminently) and is aimed at providing a truly holistic, multi-agency response to the highest harm DA and COBI perpetrators.
You’ll be looking after our Volunteer and Peer Mentor Unit, a team of mentors who provide support and deliver specialist interventions to offenders that have just come out of prison or those that are serving community sentences. In addition to the operational management of the unit in terms of growth, strategy, and delivery; you’ll work to drive service improvements through service user and stakeholder engagement.
We need your confidence and excellent communication skills to engage and negotiate with senior members of staff, service users and stakeholders, across the organisation and externally. We’ll also be grateful for your ability to motivate, coach and guide our team whilst also monitoring their performance.
Our successful candidate will ideally have knowledge and understanding of Volunteer and Mentoring services and experience in implementing service user engagement and involvement activities. However, we appreciate that not everyone can tick every single box, so we’re looking for a leader who strives for success and wants to help influence, support, and encourage others to build a future.
In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary of £29,733 - £37,166 per annum (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:
