We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Youth Workers who have the drive to support and empower pupils with SEMH needs to enhance their overall development.
As a Trainee Youth Worker, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with complex SEMH and SEND needs, covering a variety of needs from Communication and interaction difficulties, to cognitive and learning problems along with social, emotional, and mental-emotional health including those with sensory and/or physical needs. Ensuring they receive the best experience of education and reach their full potential.
You will be working with a team of dedicated professionals to provide tailored and specific support for young people who have additional requirements in either Academic or Communicative development.
Job information:
- Full-time Monday – Friday
- Paid up to £90 per day!
- Supporting SEN Teachers and other professional staff to deliver high-quality and creative educational and personal development sessions
- 1-1 small group and individual sessions
- Creating interactive and academically enriched learning experiences

Person Specification:
- Preferred 1 year experience in either psychiatric unit, Health & Social Care, residential or youth offending settings but those who have the passion and drive will be considered.
- The ideal candidates will have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient- this role can be extremely challenging but also very rewarding.
- The ability to take note of, and acting on, all issues relating to the well being and safeguarding of children
- Prescient behaviour management skills
- Profound ambition to contribute towards positive change in a child’s development
- Willing to undertake training days
