Job Title: Full or Part time Sales assistant/Cycle Mechanic in
Wymondham, Norfolk.
About Us
Hello! We’re a Wymondham based bike shop, looking to grow. Opened in 1994 our Norfolk store, originally sold bikes and car accessories, and very quickly moved entirely into bikes. Over the years we’ve built a reputation for quality products and a focus on excellent customer service.
Stocking a large range of bikes, from leading brands, including e-bikes and a busy, fully equipped workshop. We recently launched our new website and online store, and we're also looking to expand our social presence.
About the Job
We’re ideally looking for either two part time or one full time members of staff to join our small team to help with both front of house and workshop duties to help keep the shop running smoothly. The role will involve many aspects of running a busy cycle business including bicycle maintenance and servicing, including electric bike systems. Liaising with customers and suppliers will also be a key aspect of the job, both to assist with sales and product enquiries and managing orders and stock control.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for cycling, self motivated with a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the many aspects of the role. The successful candidate should be comfortable using online technology, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
A proactive “can-do” attitude, and capable of working independently, or alongside other team members. Mechanical experience is preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities
Building and preparing new bikes to a high standard.
Servicing and maintenance of customers' goods.
Sales and product advice, bikes and gear.
Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and safe.
Creation of social media content and campaigns.
Answering the phone and emails.
Booking stock in and ordering of stock.
General shop duties such as stock replenishment & ensuring a clean and tidy retail display area.
Booking in workshop jobs and scheduling new bike builds.
Liaising with customers and suppliers by phone and email.
Updating our website products.
Your Skill set
Be organized, clean and tidy with a great attention to detail with excellent time management skills
Decision making and problem-solving skills
Qualified to Cytech Level 2 or higher or time served experience in this, or a similar role preferred although not essential.
Working environment
Conditions
Five days worked over six opening days with a rota for Saturdays, 40 hours in total with occasional bank holiday working
6 month probationary period
