We at The Yeatman Hospital in Sherborne are looking for a part time Facilities Assistant to join our dedicated and friendly teams.
This role is varied and involves working in all areas of the facilities teams, in cleaning services, catering as well as a porter.
This is an interesting and varied post and an Ideal opportunity for someone looking to expand their knowledge and skills in the above areas.
A flexible approach is essential for this post to provide adequate support to the service. The hours would include some at weekends for which enhancements would be paid
DBS
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Portering:
This would involve, delivery of meal trollies, waste and soiled linen collection. Other duties include loading and unloading of stores to all departments, security, and delivery of mail and the transportation of medical gases.
Domestic:
As a domestic you would be required to achieve a high standard of cleanliness in clinical and non-clinical areas throughout the Hospital and providing a clean, safe and comfortable environment for Patients and visitors.
Catering:
The main duties include, assisting with food preparation. Serving meals for patients, staff and visitors. Washing up and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the catering department.
