We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is looking to recruit a Care assistant to provide care and support to people over 55 with a disability/mental health need, promoting independence and providing a personalised service.
Successful candidates must have an Enhanced DBS on the update service, and previous care experience.
Duties of the role include:
· Fostering individual rights and responsibilities, promoting equality of individuals and maintaining confidentiality of information
· Promoting effective communication and relationships
· Monitoring and maintaining safety and security in the workplace, promoting standards of health and safety
· Contributing to minimising the level of abuse in care environments
· Enabling service users to maintain their personal hygiene and appearance, helping them to get ready for eating and drinking, moving and handling, and minimising the adverse effects of pressure
· Any other relevant duties as required
This position is a temporary role contracted until the end of June 2023, working 35hrs per week, paying £11.18ph.
