ROLE SUMMARY: To manage all community-based engagement and fundraising activities to raise the funds to close the deficit gap between income and expenditure on an annual basis.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maximise and develop fundraising opportunities through creating and meeting targets for generating planned and new income from community and corporate activities. Managing expenditure to ensure the optimal return on investment
- Further develop relationships with major donors, corporate partners and donors, volunteers, local groups, organisations and suppliers.
- Support third party fundraising events and plan and run new events to help generate income.
- Manage the operational activity of any fundraising activity and ensure compliant planning and execution of all activities and events.
- Work with the Marcomms Manager and the finance team on the annual fundraising planning process to produce effective budgets and strategies to achieve income targets across all community-based revenue streams (exc. Grants & Trusts, Corporate, and Legacies) to help close the deficit gap.
- Create and manage the community engagement strategy and annual plan to maintain and further raise the profile of the charity while protecting brand by acting as the ‘brand guardian’.
- Ensure that all activity is compliant with policies and procedures.
- Actively keep current with trends in fundraising.
- Act as a key ambassador internally and externally representing Campden Home Nursing at events, presentations, and key supporter meetings.
Person Specification
Experience
- At least two years’ experience of developing and delivering fundraising campaigns within a charitable environment.
- Experience of managing complex projects, allocating resources based on need, ROI and critical path.
- Experience planning and managing events.
- Experience of researching funding opportunities.
- Demonstrate ability to develop relationships with funding partners.
- Understanding of community funding and support groups.
- Demonstrate understanding and application of fundraising principles, methods and procedures.
- Proven experience in growing fundraising income.

- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- A creative thinker with the ability to work across multiple online and offline channels
- Superb organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Be able to work independently using own initiative in relation to simultaneous tasks, some of which will be more complex.
- Be flexible to changing demands and take on appropriate elements of new tasks, as agreed with the CEO and Marcomms Mgr.
- Manage inevitable work-related interruptions and unplanned events as they arise.
- Undertake training to extend and maintain current skills.
- Keep up to date with current practice and legislation.
- Maintain and extend personal knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the role and to share information.
