About the role and the team
We are recruiting to fill two Support Worker roles in our supported accommodation based in Brent. The appointed candidate will join a team of professionals that are working alongside our clients to progress towards independence on a full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent basis.
As Support Worker, you will manage a small caseload of young people by taking responsibility for their well-being and day to day support in the service. This will involve running group sessions and other key activities within the supported accommodation to help them progress towards independence.
You will hold line management responsibility for a number of staff, volunteers and possibly students on placement, and hold responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers, visitors and staff in the service.
In addition, you will ensure the accommodation is properly maintained and take an active role in the upkeep of the physical spaces of the accommodation.

About you:
You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.
- Experience of working with people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use or have a history of living in care.
- Experience of using Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
