Levant is a Company within the standby (emergency) power industry which has steadily been growing, since its formation almost 20 years ago. We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our expanding team to support the Directors in implementing and managing the Company's Health & Safety policies and procedures. We believe this to be, at present, a part time role requiring the candidate to work for us 1 day per week.
Our organisation is looking for a Health & Safety Manager, ideally with experience in the electrical industry (and with relevant H&S industry qualifications). Our industry is fast paced and you must have an eye for detail. A successful candidate should have a demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and monitor compliance with health and safety plans, procedures and training programmes. The Safety Manager will work in conjunction with the Directors and our external H&S consultancy to implement & manage the company's Health and Safety procedures to ensure that the Company and all staff are prepared adequately to achieve compliance with all legal standards.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that policies and procedures are in place and updated as needed to ensure workplace safety.
- Evaluate new equipment and procedures to ensure safety standards are met.
- Work with insurance company to minimise risks.
- Ensure that employees receive proper training on new equipment, policies and procedures as needed.
- Keep accurate and thorough records for use in an emergency or for legal purposes.
- Provide a safe, comfortable environment for employees and customers.
- Perform risk management duties according to HSE guidelines.
- Auditing of field service team H&S standards
