Role: RESIDENTIAL WORKER
Salary Up to: £26,500 annum plus additional £50 per sleep-in.
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours a week. Shift times are 7am to 3pm,and 2pm to 10pm. Sleep Ins will be required as and when necessary

About the role
Merryfields is a 14 bed Short Break Residential Service providing 24-hour care for 5 to 18 year olds with moderate to severe learning disabilities. We strive and work towards providing top tiered person – centered care. We also hold various activities on a day-to-day basis to encourage social experiences and promote equality and diversity throughout the service.
We are looking for Residential Workers who will provide a safe environment for the children at Merryfields, this will be working ensuring the child is given the best possible care.
You will be passionate, committed, and resilient and yes, this role can at sometimes be emotionally and physically challenging but it's also fun, diverse and you will feel huge sense of reward by being able to help, in the best way possible If this all sounds ideal, then, you are exactly who we are looking for.

- Supporting children to achieve positive outcomes for their future.
- Providing a safe environment for them to enjoy time with their friends.
- Giving families the break, they need to continue supporting their amazing children.
- Assisting the children in all aspects of their care and supporting their health and wellbeing.
- Supporting children and young people in their personal care, administration of medication and clinical procedures in line with the services policies and procedures and safeguarding practices
- Contributing to the development and evaluation of care plans and risk assessments as part of link worker role.
- Attending meetings/reviews with other care professionals to promote person – centred care.
Let's talk about you
- Must possess Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent is required or equivalent to be achieved within 2 years of taking up the post.
- Working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust.
- Writing clear and concise notes and providing updates to colleagues and senior colleagues.
- Willingness to continue to develop through on the job training or attendance at external or online courses.
- Demonstrating a solution focused approach to address problems and doing this individually and in a team setting.
