Trade Counter Assistant - Colwick, Nottingham - Permanent Full or Part Time position
We have an exciting opportunity to join our already successful team in Jewson Nottingham Colwick as a Trade Counter Assistant (internally Customer Service Advisor). There are some specific skills we are looking for from suitable candidates;
- Experience working in a Builders’ Merchants or similar industry would be beneficial
- Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude
- Demonstrable customer service focus
- IT literate
- Able to create and maintain successful relationships
- Comfortable working in all areas of the business, including outside in the Yard
- Experience using an FLT would also be beneficial
Hours of Work
We are in a position to offer flexible working options up to Full Time Hours. Branch working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, and Saturday from 8am to 12pm
What will I be doing in the role?
Our Customer Service Advisor is a key role in the business. A great Customer Service Advisor will help keep our business running smoothly, and continue to build and develop customer relationships and sales opportunities. To support the business, you will;
- Maximise customer interactions to support achievement of sales and profit targets through upselling and cross-selling relevant products offering specific product advice
- Realise full potential of all customer interactions and build strong, effective relationships with customers and suppliers, managing feedback accordingly
- Ensure all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion
- Support in different departments in the branch, including in the Yard and Warehouse
- Support all Company initiatives
- Follow plans to continuously improve customer experience
- Advise customers on trading terms and conditions and information in relation to customer accounts and credit levels
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve product and industry knowledge
