We are recruiting for a well-known removals and storage company, who have spent the last 350 years moving both residential and commercial customers throughout the UK and beyond. This really is a great opportunity to build a rewarding career with a reputable company!

This is not a job you will ever find yourself bored in, there is always plenty to do and every day you will learn new skills. A typical day will include:

Safely wrapping, packaging and unpacking household items
Assembling and dissembling furniture
Driving to specified locations with the nominated Driver/Team Leader
Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring a duty of care and safety at all times
Day to day interaction with customers ensuring the move runs smoothly

Person Specification:

Sociable (would enjoy interacting with customers)
Good numeracy and literacy skills (able to read instructions)
Physically fit and strong (able to lift and transport goods safely)
Team player (works well with others)
Adaptable and willing to learn (can take instruction & use own initiative)
Able to start work at 7am and be flexible on finish times (work finishes when the job is complete)

Above all, you will be looking for a long-term career opportunity. Successful candidates will start on NMW with an annual review. Earning potential increases as responsibilities increase.

Our client has also specified they would prefer candidates who live within a 45 minute commute (based in Tamworth)

You must be eligible to work in the UK and pass a basic DBS background check

Whilst not essential, we are keen to hear from anyone who already has a standard UK drivers license and is keen to develop a career in the removals industry. Our client will help you acquire your HGV license (qualified/experienced HGV drivers can earn up to £16ph)
