As a Production Operator you will be responsible for manufacturing high quality, specialist cable products/components to pre-defined specifications.

You will be allocated to a Shift Team and will follow a 3-weekly cycle as follows:

About Us:

The Company’s reputation as a high-quality, cost-effective, Design and
Manufacturer of Specialist Cable products has grown exponentially since the company was established, and as such we look to expand the current workforce to support the growing demand for such products into both new and existing key industry sectors.

What you will do:

· You will be responsible for high quality output of goods through raw material selection and processing as per pre-defined manufacturing specifications

· Clearly interpret written and verbal instructions; e.g. technical and material data, production schedules, machinery setup guides and production specifications.

· Verify and record all output by performing various quality checks throughout manufacture so as to meet stringent internal and external quality standards

· Effectively communicate with management, team leaders and other employees within and between shifts - especially during changeovers

· Establish and maintain the standards on your shift in your operating area for safety, quality, housekeeping, performance, efficiency and attendance in line with Company values and expectation

· Confidently navigate and select tooling/machinery/equipment unaided, to facilitate the correct manufacturing conditions within your work area for the job at hand

· Remain focussed on continual development throughout your employment so as to meet the vast manufacturing capabilities of the site; this is namely via peer-to-peer observation, onsite training opportunities and general engagement between work areas on a daily basis

Who we are looking for:

· A motivated self-starter who understands the importance of excellent quality and consistency in the workplace without exception

· Someone who has good technical skills, ideally familiar with a factory environment. Previous experience within polymer extrusion or wire/cable manufacturing is a distinct advantage although training will be provided

· An effective communicator within and between Teams, who can work both independently and within a small, set group

· Someone with an excellent timekeeping record who is reliable and punctual and can meet the shift requirements

· An individual looking to secure long term employment where a hard-working, committed attitude is recognised and valued

If you think you are the type of applicant who can thrive within our Team, please send a copy of your CV, along with details of past and current employment and your employment status, for an opportunity to be part of our ongoing success.
