Job Description

The role

The Financial Times is seeking a London-based podcast producer. This is an exciting time to be part of the FT as we expand our audio offering and look to bring in new audiences.

This position is a 12 month fixed term contract, working 3 days a week on a part-time basis.

You'll be working closely with the host, executive producer and the network of expert journalists in the global Financial Times newsroom. Our team runs on collaboration, honesty and flexibility.

Working It is a weekly series, which showcases the best of the FT's reporting and commentary on the world of work, focusing on issues that matter to anyone who manages teams and people. From hybrid working to managing diverse teams, you'll be part of a podcast that aims to set the agenda on workplace issues through deep-dive interviews with FT reporters, editors and external sources.

Working It was launched in 2021 and is a core part of the FT's audio strategy to grow audiences in the US. Our audio producer will play a key role in shaping a new vision and direction for the show and will work closely with our host to bring the best of FT's journalism to life in audio.

As our new podcast producer, you will join an ambitious, nimble and talented team of producers who are shaping the FT's audio journalism. You will have fresh ideas about telling business and workplace stories in audio and be eager to experiment with new formats for the medium.
