Job Description
We are pleased to be advertising for the position of Caretaker. Newlands Bishop Farm is a site that cares for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities. The post holder will ensure the site is maintained in terms of basic plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance, with the assistance of Project Workers. They would be a mentor, teacher, and a role model. This is a Caretaker role with a difference!
If you have experience of being a Caretaker or a similar type of role, are passionate about improving the skillset of adults with learning disabilities, prepared to cover cleaning duties occasionally, are calm, friendly, patient, and not easily flustered, we would be pleased to receive your application.
Pay & Benefits:
*Pay is at £10.50 per hour.
*Enrolment is automatic for the People Pension scheme where the trust pays a contribution of 3%, the tax authorities pay 1%, and the employee pays 4% of the gross earnings.
*Annual leave starts at 22 days plus 8 bank holidays pro rata, rising to 25 days plus 8 bank holidays pro rata after three years of service.
*Life assurance is set to two times your contracted salary.
*The trust pays up to £500 for referring a friend who completes a six month probationary period and another £250 after a further six months.
*Car parking is free at all our sites.
*Regular pay increases subject to business performance.
*Uniform is provided free of charge.
*We pay for your DBS check.
*Animal lovers will appreciate the horses, pigs, goats, birds, dogs, and the resident cat on site.

*A DBS check that does not highlight issues preventing you from working with vulnerable adults.
*A full driving licence.
*Compassion for adults with learning disabilities, dementia, and mental health problems.
*Will remain up to date with COVID19 vaccinations to protect our vulnerable service users.
