Night Duty Porter
Job brief
To assist the Day and Evening Shifts of Reception throughout the night shift in relation to hotel and guest security, reception duties as well as maintaining the agreed standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Check in and out hotel guests as required as well as assisting with guest requests in relation to calls, requests and safety
- Responsible for the cleaning of areas in the hotel including, but not restricted to lobby, back office, the entire guest accessed areas
- Responsible for maintaining Night checklist which includes set up of reports such as housekeeping, function rooms, breakfast area etc
- Responsibility for the front entrance and outside of the hotel and ensure that it is clean and tidy at all times. This includes emptying bins, picking up rubbish etc
- To have a full understanding of the hotels’ fire procedures to ensure safety of all staff and guests at all times
- Timely checks and hotel rounds to ensure the absolute safety
- Completing the handover, Supporting the other shifts by completing all tasks given
Requirements:
- Good physical health and stamina
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in Property Management Software is helpful
- The ability to work on their own initiative, as well as being capable of working as part of a team
- A warm, friendly and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests
- Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high performance standards
- Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills
- Online & Certified Training courses will be provided relevant to the job
