Minute Taker Required

Location: Age UK Thanet Ltd, Randolph House, Zion Place, Margate Kent CT9 1RP

Working hours: 4 hours every other month
Age UK Thanet Ltd requires a Minute Taker for monthly board meetings. Board meetings last for approximately 4 hours every other month from 4pm till 6pm and are held on the third Tuesday of each month. The post holder will be required to record, type up and distribute the minutes.
Main duties:
· Attend board meetings
· Take an accurate record of what is discussed and any actions raised
· Type the minutes up within the timeframe agreed with the chair
· Distribute completed minutes to the board and CO
· Make amendments to the minutes as advised
· Ensure minutes from previous meetings are signed by the chair
Essential Skills required for the post:
· Good listening and writing skills
· Experience of taking formal minutes
· Must be IT literate
· Good attention span
· A strong understanding of the need for confidentiality
· Good communication skills
· Good timekeeping
· Approachable
Employment Experience
· Experience of attending formal meetings and typing formal meetings
· Experience of working within confidential settings
Desirable:
· To have educational knowledge or background
