What will you be doing as a Class 2/7.5 Tonne Driver?
- Driving a Class 2/7.5 Tonne Vehicle in a safe manner, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation
- Working as a 2-person delivery team, delivering furniture products into a room of choice at customers' homes
- Constructing items in line with contract guidelines (don’t worry we provide full training!)
- Collecting returns from customers’ properties
- Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies
- Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects
- Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured
- Always providing a first-class customer service experience
Relevant skills and experience as a Class 2/7.5 Tonne Driver:
- This is a physically demanding role including lifting and shifting – essential that you are physically able to lift items
- Valid LGV, HGV Class 2 License or 7.5 tonne grandfather rights license
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- Full Driver Qualification card (Driver CPC)
- A general understanding of driver's hours legislation and working time directive
- No more than 6 points on driving license
- Previous experience in assembly and fitting is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
- Time management skills and comfortable in working to deadlines
- DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate
